# Milestone

> A milestone's progress, burn-up, pace and due date, and the open items most at risk.

A milestone widget follows one GitHub milestone: how much is done, whether it’ll be done in time, and what’s at risk.

| Setting | Stored as | Accepts | Default |
| --------------------------------------------------- | ----------- | ------------------------------------------ | ------------ |
| Title (named after the milestone if empty) | `title` | Text, at most 120 | empty |
| Forge (only shown when the board has more than one) | `host` | Text, at least 1 character and at most 253 | `github.com` |
| Repository | `repo` | A repository, as `owner/name` | empty |
| Milestone | `milestone` | A milestone's title, up to 255 characters | empty |
| At risk when quiet for: 7, 14 or 30 days | `staleDays` | A whole number from 1 to 180 | `14` |

Pick the repository, then one of its open milestones. If they can’t be loaded, type the milestone’s title.

## Using it

- **Progress**: a ring with “10 of 16 done”, and the due date: “Due in 18 days”, “Due today”, “3 days overdue”.

- **Pace and forecast**: closes per week over the last two weeks, and when that’ll be done: “At 3 a week, done 24 Oct: on track”, or “later than it’s due”.

- **Burn-up**: what’s done against the scope over time, from when items were opened and closed. Drag along it to read any day. With more than 100 open or closed items, it’s drawn from the latest 100 of each.

- **At risk**: open items that are

  - **quiet**: no activity for the number of days in the settings
  - **blocked**: labelled blocked, on hold or waiting
  - **big and late**: a large pull request or an epic-sized issue, with the milestone due within a week or overdue

At-risk rows drag out onto the board as cards.
