# Tack > A live, multiplayer whiteboard full of your real issues and pull requests. Plan together, and what you decide goes back to GitHub. Free, open source and self-hosted. Tack is self-hosted: each instance is one Cloudflare Worker on its owner's Cloudflare account, with a GitHub App they own. There's no hosted Tack. Every page below is Markdown; its HTML is at the same address without `.md`. To set up an instance from a terminal, start with the first link. ## Set up your own - [Set up Tack with a coding agent](https://tack.social/setup.md): step-by-step instructions for a coding agent in the user's terminal: prerequisites, forking with `gh`, configuring and deploying with the `cf` CLI, and the browser steps only the user can do ## Start here - [What Tack is](https://tack.social/start/introduction.md): A GitHub-native whiteboard for open source planning, and the rules it keeps. - [A two-minute tour](https://tack.social/start/tour.md): Make a board, bring in issues, sketch, stage some changes and push them. ## Using boards - [Boards and sharing](https://tack.social/boards/boards-and-sharing.md): The home page, making and renaming boards, roles, visibility and archiving. - [Embeds and link previews](https://tack.social/boards/embeds.md): Live images of a public board, or part of it, for READMEs and docs, and how its links unfurl. - [Cards](https://tack.social/boards/cards.md): Live GitHub issues, pull requests and discussions on the board, and what each part of a card means. - [Link cards](https://tack.social/boards/link-cards.md): Any web page on the board as a card with its preview, read once and kept on the board for everyone. - [Stickies and text](https://tack.social/boards/stickies-and-text.md): Stickies for ideas, text for headings and notes. - [Images](https://tack.social/boards/images.md): Screenshots, photos and pictures on a board, and who can see them. - [Stacks](https://tack.social/boards/stacks.md): Drop a sticky or a card onto another to stack them, named from what's in them.
